Dune heath plants

About 1% of Denmark is dune heath, which is a mosaic of dry and wet areas in the shelter of the grey dunes.

A number of the plants growing along the path require dry areas: crowberry, creeping willow, English grass and marram grass.

Crowberry ripens in August and it can be used to make a tasty herbal schnapps.
